Zechen Liu is currently a Research Scientist at Meta Reality Labs. Prior to this, she was a visiting scholar at Carnegie Mellon University from September 2019 to December 2021, under the guidance of Prof. Marios Savvides and Prof. Eric Xing. She obtained her Ph.D. from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in June 2021, where she was supervised by Prof. Kwang-Ting Tim Cheng. Her research interests are in computer vision, machine learning, and related areas. Specifically, she is focused on using deep learning to address practical industry challenges, such as the limitations of insufficient resources and balancing computation with accuracy. Her research primarily focuses on network quantization and pruning, neural architecture search, knowledge distillation, image synthesis, and few-shot learning.
